With the Detailed Slab Creator you can turn a slab into a detailed structure. You can add your project the detail it needs. The 3D and Sections will look more realistic. Simply draw any section-profile yourself and turn any shape into an entire slab of extruded profiles or a grid of Custom Components. The floorplan display can be shown correctly on the floors you like (see video).
Step 1:
On the floorplan draw your the extrusion profile with a slab or draw your the object with standard ArchiCAD tools. Select all the elements and choose File / Libraries and Objects / Save Custom Component. In the Choose Component Type choose the Custom Slab Component.
Step 2:
Then draw the shape of your slab with the regular Slab Tool. You can place the slab on a hidden layer because it will only serve as reference for the Custom Slab. Select the Slab and choose Design / Design Extras / Accessoires / Slab Accessoires... . Choose the Custom Slab from the Object Browser.
Follow the steps as described in the Parameter Section.
Step 3:
Enter the approximate maximum length of your slab. This step prevents performance problems.
Step 4:
Enter the width, length and height of your Custom Component. You can also enter a distance for inbetween elements.
Step 5:
Assign your created Custom Component , choose the desired method (Extrusion/Matrix) and click OK.
Your slab will stay connected to the Custom Slab. Any changes you will make to the reference Slab will be transferred to the Custom Slab.
